A poem that is dedicated to my father who passed away almost a year ago.
I sat in the dark,
I could barly see as the fan blew on me,
I listened to the sounds of breathing around me,
knowing that soon yours would have to cease.
In my mind I see you so clearly like I see day,
but I knew that soon you would be so far away.
I walked around aimlessly, bare feet on a cold floor,
although I did not know what for.
It is not a great thing when you lose you way,
its like a blue sky suddenly turning grey a storm is coming.

I wanted to believe this wasn't real, to see your eye's see my face,
but in my heart it was time to see,
that death was going to be your reality.
