Alone is a continuation of Fear and goes much more indepth. This is one of my favorites.
Alone you walk, down an empty street.
The silence is nerve wracking, but calm.
All that's heard is a steady heartbeat.
As you look to the sky for comfort,
The warm colors of the sunset sooth you.
Your body is overcome with a feeling of joy.
Your mind begins to fill with memories of love and happiness.
Within an instant the scenic beauty of the sunset,
Is replaced by complete and utter darkness.
The comfort and joy you were feeling,
Is immediately replaced with fear and anxiety.
Your body begins to quiver and
Your heart is racing rapidly.
Thoughts of tragedy and pain flood your mind.
Summoning memories of lost friends and loved ones.
The once quiet and peaceful silence,
That gave you time to relax.
Is now showing you how truly alone you really are.
You have no family to return to.
There is no place to call home.
Everyone you love you have lost.
All that once lifted you has faded.
Your worst nightmare has become a reality.
You are forever confined to solitude.
You will never again feel true happiness.
