this is a prepositional poem i wrote in 8th grade. i quite enjoyed writing it.
Beneath my feet
Along the ground I walk
Across grass so soft,
Under my human body, my feet drag me
Into sounds that make me drift after my trance-like body.
Before the peace, I chase it
Onto a cloud of dreams that become anything I want.
Over the center I catch it… finally… there is where I stay.
Between dirt paths is where I lay
Near but not on… drawn astray.
Underneath a baby blue sky,
In the silence I find peace to think… to breathe.
Against me is a stack of papers
On which I fill up with “the breathings of my heart.”
