Daughter of the Fame
They say I have my charm from you,
My talent and creativity,
Myself and all of me,
My face even, too.

What is left that has not already been seen?
As a person you are one,
A person already done
While twice adding me has been.

They wave their hands and on kindness I ride,
But it is not me they see,
Only the spawn that I be.
In the shade of your being I hide.

I know that this has been done before,
The apple falls far from a tree,
That apple is me.
From you I will never be more.

I refuse to let myself end this way!
Brighter I will shine!
Your name shall be mine!
For I will be brighter someday.

Envy its true has corrupted this face,
The face I changed
The face I deranged
For two there is no space

The questions I ask that give me shame
Some autographs
For psychopaths
Who don’t even know my name

With seven children this must get old
I promise to be tame
And bear no shame
From here I cease to be cold

So I shall wear a smile for it is not a curse
When they ask in dismay
I’ll say its okay
When really it just gets worse
