This poem was inspired by a hawk in flight.
WINTRY SKY

A regal hawk
A winter sky
A scene so stark
It assaults my eye
Time of passing
Mother Earth sleeps
Under a coat of ice and sleet
Life and Death, their struggles meet.
In this agon it all began
Eons past the 'dawn of man'
Eternity's glimpse, the twinkling of eye,
Regal hawk, wintry sky.
