Even though you look me in the eyes, you never see me.
Look Me in the Eyes


Even though you look me in the eyes,
you never see the unshed tears
that I try to keep at bay
until I am completely alone.

Even though you look me in the eyes,
you never see the pain
that I hide from the world
until I am completely alone.

Even though you look me in the eyes,
you never see the hope
that I seem to muster up
until I am completely alone.

Even though you look me in the eyes,
you never see the truth
that I struggle to conceal
until I am completely alone.

Even though you look me in the eyes,
you never see me
that fights every single day
until I am completely alone.
