My friends Dad died two years ago she then asked me to write a poem about it so here it is
I cant pretend to forget you,
Filling my heart with false lies,
But remembering you repeatedly upsets me,
And often brings me to cry.

I just don’t know what to do,
And if you were here, you’re the one I would ask,
Now I prance around this world,
With a dreading tears under a smiling mask.

Not a day goes bye that I don’t remember,
Those times you made me laugh,
And never have I forgotten,
All the fun we had.

You used to come home from work,
And pick me up with your strong and hardworking hands,
You would ask me about my day,
And how school had been.

Every night you kissed me,
And quietly wished me sweet dreams,
And I will always love you,
No matter what that means.

I don’t want to forget you,
You always had patience with me,
So I only ask of you one thing,
Save a swing in heaven for me Daddy.
