A journal entry on losing a loved one
She played me a song today
vivid an real, having the heart
to put a melody into the
monotonous notes of today.

She laughed, when all I felt like
was crying, putting a loaded gun
to my head and pulling the trigger.
I would never have the courage
to do it.

I love, and I feel everything,
caring too much for the hearts
around me...perhaps.

This is my weakness.
And they say the greatest strength
can be your greatest weakness.
I guess I am weak.

I live for the hope of today
and I sing for the souls in travail,
hoping for one last chance
to reconcile a life missed,
a life lived...
without the freedom
of tomorrow.
