Nelson The Penguin, is always too cold until he meets a new friend.
Nelson the Penguin,

Was feeling rather silly,

For he lived in the arctic,

And always felt chilly.

You're a Penguin Nelson!

His mother and father would say,

We live in the cold and snow,

It's mean't to be this way!

But poor little Nelson,

Just couldn't get warm,

His feet had been frozen,

Ever since he'd been born.

His brothers and sisters,

Would all laugh and stare,

At poor little Nelson shivering,

Whilst they didn't care.

One cold morning,

Nelson went for a walk,

He met Polly polar bear,

And stopped for a talk.

"Hello Polly", Nelson said whilst jumping up and down,

"Morning Nelson" she replied with a frown,

"Why do you keep hopping from foot to foot?" she sighed,

"I'm trying to get warm" Nelson replied.

"But you're a Penguin!" she said,

Your supposed to like the snow,

"Not me!" said Nelson,

"Didn't you know!"

"Silly Penguin" said Polly,

And went on her way,

Shivering little Nelson,

Sadly walked away.

Over the snow,

Nelson shivered and shook,

He saw other Penguins playing,

And went over for a look.

As he approached,

A snowball flew by!

This games too cold for me,

Nelson said with a cry!

"I'm never going to be able to have any fun

Not unless it involves somewhere warm in the sun"

Poor cold Nelson,

Suddenly slipped on the ice,

He skidded and slid,

And got quite a fright.

Shivering as he stood,

There was an Eskimo sitting,

"What are you making" Said Nelson,

Staring at the knitting.

"I'm making from wool,

Some gloves and a scarf"

"It's just what you probably need,

He said with a laugh!"

"Poor little Penguin, you look so cold",

"Why don't you take these?" Nelson was told.

As cold little Nelson,

Put on the gifts so warm,

He started to feel cozy,

For the first time, since he'd been born.

"Thank you so much!"

"I'm no longer chilly!"

"I can go play with my family,

And not feel so silly"

So off went Nelson,

To begin having fun

And enjoy the cold arctic,

With no need for the sun.

His family all smiled,

Nelson so happy and cosy,

With his scarf and gloves,

And no longer Frozen!
