A poem written in the Trois-par-Huit form.
The Ripper

Enter Jack
The gentleman in black
London’s childe* roams wild in the street

Stalking the lacey dressed girl so proper and neat
In the darkness, the fate of their souls is to meet

What monster elicits a whimper
Barred teeth sink to nip her –
The Ripper

Written for "Invalid Item"   by A Guest Visitor . The Trois-par-Huit form is a form that has stanzas with either 3,3,2 lines or 3,2,3 lines. There is a syllable count of 3,6,9 12 12 8,6,3. And a rhyme scheme of AAB BB CCC. (Phew, that's a lot.)

*Childe was used to portray a more evil, supernatural aspect to the character.
