Life after death without Christ.
Breathing comes in fatal gasps

         as constricted lungs collapse

Suffocating in this skin

         draining all life from within

Noiseless screams to devastate

time will seal the body’s fate

Clouded eyes so filled with fear

pounding heart for none to hear

Heaving chest struggles for air

         full of terror and despair

Claustrophobia sets in

         panic takes over again

Darkness has obscured all light

         blood and tears corrupting sight

Clawing in futility

         capture has become deadly

Trapped inside this living death

         cold creeps into steal breath

Buried alive in the grave

no hope left, nothing to save.
