A daily struggle with decisions.
A chance to turn the other cheek
And win the prize of greater worth,
We stand with those considered meek
In hopes we may inherit earth.

What of the prize for he that delves
To battle hard against life's toils?
The gods help those who help themselves,
The victors who receive the spoils.

But good things come to those who wait.
In patience virtue is fulfilled.
On eagles' wings to navigate,
Are those with passion's fervor chilled.

There are some things worth fighting for.
Regardless what we think is right,
No soldier ever won a war
Unless committed to the fight.

It seems a petty price to pay
To have free will and make these choices.
The challenge that we face each day
Is dealing with these nagging voices.
