Short poem
Do you know what loneliness is?
Can you feel it in your chest?
Is the pain too much to bear?
Do you feel the need to retch?

You can't begin to comprehend
The depths of my suffering
The abyss of loneliness
I invite all to drown slow

I know this is my burden
For to write is to be alone
Forever in my own zone
In the silence that is my home

I wish you could feel this pain
Yet I would wish it on nobody
I wish I could pass it on
But who could handle this but me?

Have you the stomach for this?
This thing called loneliness
I don't think you do
It is my burden...alone
