A brief poem.
I saw you drive by today,
Laughing and messing around with your friends,
"I miss you" I wanted to say,
Is this how our friendship ends?

One gets hurt the other unaffected,
A broken heart going on neglected?
The feelings inside me now infected...

I am surrounded by friendly faces,
But I am alone in the most public of places,
I want to scream and shout and yell,
Anything to be out of this hell.

I cry so very late at night,
Wanting you to say it's alright,
Wanting to redeem myself in your sight.

Everyone tells me you don't deserve this loyalty,
That you crossed a very, very, very thick line,
I hate that I still see you as friend deep inside of me,
Please I pray to God to give me a sign.

In my heart a snake of hate uncoils,
But I don't like how my heart it soils,
My plans slowly to get you back it foils.

So I will go on ignoring you like my friends want me to...
I'll feast divinely and I'll drink from the golden cup,
But when I am all alone and I'll think of you...
Then in the morning I'll pick myself up.
