Because who am I, to be jealous of her, when you are 8,298 miles away?
8,298 miles
Across the world
That's how far
You are from me

Looking at it makes it seem so
Minuscule
So small
The Sun is 150 million miles from both of us

So 8,298 miles
Doesn't really seem like a lot

But you're so far away
And we've never even met in person
And I know you like somebody else
And I really
Really
Shouldn't be jealous

Because who am I
To be jealous of her
When you are 8,298 miles away

But you can't even fathom
You can't even begin to realize
How badly I wish that number was zero

I want you here
With me

And I want to know all of you
Not just the color of your eyes
Or what size shoe you wear
Or how many freckles you have

But also the way you look
When you find that perfect song
Or when you wake up in the morning
Without combing your hair

I want to know
You
In all of your natural
Gorgeous
Glowing radiance

But 8,298 miles is a very long way away
And you probably don't care

If dreams could do what the folk tales say
Then when I can't sleep at night
I'll imagine that I'm awake in your dream
Happily with you
