The Welcomed Sanguine

Oh how the Sanguine is welcomed
everyone expresses kindness or some sort of warmth
These individuals are charismatic to where an affection for them blossomed,
who can blame them, they know how to shine.
They're filled with glee and bring the gloomiest character to life

Although, is all of this brightness beneficial?
At times, yes, but other times it's not at all helpful
Don't get me wrong, I'm not condemning this trait.
Nor do I grant it praise.

This unique trait can be emotional
if not otherwise egotistical.
It naturally thrives off of compliments,
always starving for good statements.

Adoring happy moments but being oblivious to pain.
Willing to guzzle down mirth, denying that there's knowledge to gain.
Cackling at the illusion of a humorous joke,
completely blind to the heart that is being smote.

If you are offended, don't take it personally.
These are the pros and cons of this personality.
Don't be downed, don't be dampened,
the truth is...I'm part sanguine. :D
