A poem celebrating the changing of the seasons
Where are the heated days
What came of those humid nights
Brilliant blue skies painted under white clouds
Now angry colors of a storm
To quench the blistered earth
Slumbering foliage tucked in
No longer bright and green
Now changing with the wind
Hues of orange and red and gold
To chill the ground where new life slumbers
One season relenting its reign
Another taking the throne
