Written for my husband, nearly eight years ago when we were newly dating.
You speak now of regret
Though no thoughts were in your mind at the time
You are so easily upset
By what may happen in your life down the line
Well, you made your bed
And it happened to be in mine
All we can do is hope for the best

So you just take your time
And try to give some thought to what I said
I hope you realize
That everything will work out in the end
Yeah, we'll be just fine
As long as we really want it
Our destinies are of our own design
