A poem that was conceived after visiting my home town.
I am from...
the warm country air dancing against my soft hair.
from the family merriment molding me and my thoughts.
the children laughing until their gut urges them to stop.
the parents sipping on iced tea while whispering their unimportant stories.

the sweet peaches pouring out juices into my well being.
the pets being more than just a friend.
I am from where everyone knew each other.
where everyone was proud of where they lived.

Silence.
Headaches.
Nothing.
Everything.
Questions.
Where?

where; from everything is in the past.
lifeless presence bellows throughout the town.
where I lived, people are un existed.
empty souls roam the place where I call--called home.

no more.
the town is no more.
life means no more.
from where there is no more...
wants,
to go back?
no...
no more...

where I am from used to be something.
where everything had a meaning.
where I am from now is nothing.
nothing more, nothing less.
                       Signed a wishful soul
