He chose dignity on the gallows, over injustice!


Ned Kelly, who loved his Mum.


"Such is life", a famous man, condemned, once said.
Robbed the rich, and loved the poor, did outlaw Ned.
Kelly was his family name, adored his Mum.
She fell victim to the corrupt policeman.

At Glenrowan, Ned took steed and stand,
against the so called law-officiated land,
until he, cornered, single handed, sealed his fate.
Bushrangers' gunsmoke, hammered iron plate.

Elevated platform, boots upon the door,
he stood with mind accepting what in store
for him would generate the lasting fame
that any prison, Pentridge, never could contain
