Ten more steps
to your door
the portal
the realm

No longer
an endless path

an unending illusion or delusion

The windings and wanderings of the past
are things I sat down today

The need
the want
the desire

my life struggle could have been dropped
long ago

It seems
the surrender
could’ve always taken
but ten more steps

I did not need
to walk a lifetime to realize
had I let go
of searching for dreams

the void would have
found me long ago

ten more steps
are nothing
