Coping through the heart's past attachments.
Love's echo reverberates,
Crossing canyon and sea,
Spinning out sharply,
Coming back to me,

Haunting from time past,
A reflection that dims,
Fading and cracking,
Turning sepia in the lense,

Through space and time,
By blood or touch,
From clicks or taps,
Or in memory's clutch,

Is there a cure,
For love's aching pain?
It hurts much less now,
Just more when it rains,

I insist I've moved on,
Healed! 'Clares my heart!
Yet my mind wanders,
Where is that tart?

Happy, I s'pose,
And that's okay,
My need for revenge,
Has begun to sway,

I've moved on nicely,
And so has she,
We in our own worlds,
So righteously!

Still, on occasion,
Is faintly around,
That reverberation,
Of love's echoing sound.
