So teach Me something new.....I like learning from My mistakes.
My heart moves like rolling thunder under Your embrace.
A weight falls from my shoulders as I fall hard and fast from grace.
Take me here and now, Don't You waste the precious seconds.
As You pull me close, Moon and starlight in your eyes beckons.
Forces pull us in from many miles apart and a billion directions

With older hands and anxious eyes; This is where our journey starts.
I don't want to feel bad about the wasted years and time we lost.
It happened for a reason; If it brought us here; It was worth the cost

Time and time again, You'll look at Me and You might feel a little sad;
Don't You worry about a thing cause You're the best mistake I ever had.
So teach Me something new.....I like learning from My mistakes,
And pay close attention to how good it feels and how good it aches.

Hearts beating like wild horses' feet that hit the stony ground,
When miles of open earth lies ahead and no fences can be found.
Dreams falling like needed rain and puddling slowly into place,
Now You and I are here, and we're lying face to face......

And My heart moves like rolling thunder under Your embrace

We've mellowed into shadows of what we could have been,
We've drank from bitter waters and calloused our tender skin.
They say time's a precious ointment; It just deepens any wound;
When all you have is time and you have nothing left to lose.

If I could move the hands of time and take back all the words;
And deeds that seem so pointless and all the anger undeserved;
Then we would be no better, for we never would have learned;
That love's a thing best unbroken, like wild horses and one's word.

I can't give you yesterday, and what good would that do?
We didn't like it when we had it while it was fresh and new.
We can't learn from the future, We can't worry about the past,
What's done is done, We're here now, let's make the present last.

And My heart moves like rolling thunder under Your embrace

We got fewer tomorrows, But we've solemn truth here and now;
Nothing blue and nothing borrowed, No hasty words or silly vows.
Make love for all we're worth, and make us what we should be;
Make love from your heart that I can hear and touch and see.

My heart moves like rolling thunder under Your embrace.
A weight falls from my shoulders as I fall hard and fast from grace.
Please hold me now, Don't You waste the precious seconds.
As You lift My head now, Moon and starlight in your eyes beckons.

Forces pull us in from many miles apart and a billion directions
With older hands and anxious eyes; This is where our journey starts.
I don't want to feel bad about the wasted years and time we lost.
It happened for a reason; If it brought us here; It was worth the cost.

Time and time again, You'll look at Me and You might feel a little sad;
Don't You worry about a thing cause You're the best mistake I ever had.
So teach Me something new.....I like learning from My mistakes,
And pay close attention to how good it feels and how good it aches.
