Somebody's gotta say thanks... an ode to my wonderfulness |
Me, oh wonderful me. I've done so much worth extolling this month, though I suppose nobody's bothered to stop and see, so I'll just have to tell you. I rescued a cat from a tree, a dog from his shower. I shared- SHARED, for the love of all things holy- my toys with my sister. Well, a "thanks" would be nice, or even "good job!" But all I got was a measly "Gimme!" "How unfair!" you say? I agree! And thus I must write this. Now, what else have I done? No shortage of heroic deeds this month. I have cleaned my room and the house- both without being asked. I helped that little old lady who lives across the street. I carried her groceries, watched her pets, read her a book, and cooked her a meal. I bought groceries for our house, packed them away, and nobody noticed, so I've included that here. I coached Brother's soccer practice, and then... Yes, there's more! I then went and taught Sister's ballet class. I helped Dad fix the grill, and did the dishes for Mom. Cousin Mike's car broke down so I lent him my bike. And to think I've done so much when the month isn't even over yet! But you know, that's not all. I walked the dog, and we played fetch with his ball. I chaperoned a school field trip to the zoo- aren't I great? I do wonder what I will do next. I hope that tomorrow, I'll get to save the world! THAT, someone ought to notice.... right?! 35 lines, 262 words |
