A dance of joy
She danced as if she were floating,
and her face showed pure joy.
It was the life she'd always imagined
and she cherished every second.

Every turn, leap, jump, and flip
she executed with ease,
and the whole audience left breathless
as her solo took over the stage.

Pure joy turned to pure pain
when a nemesis backstage
rolled out a marble, and
the dancer slipped and fell.

Gasps from the audience,
who couldn't see the sabotage-
they thought she'd messed up the dance,
and with that, her career.
