There was a letter in the mailbox
The mailbox contained
a single letter
for the girl to see
if she'd made it in
to university.

The envelope was fat
and she jumped for joy,
saying "I made it! I'm
going to college!"

So she quickly
opened the envelope
and read the news
to her parents,
who congratulated her
and together they
celebrated.
