A poem in Rubaiyat stanza form (described following poem) about the wonders of spring rain
It's wonderful, that sound of rain
as the wind begins to wane.
And gentle drops meet thirsty leaves,
to help the garden thrive again.

From sky to roof, and over eaves,
the gutter waits and soon receives
Mother Nature's generous drink,
which soaks the ground and fast relieves.

Trees of green, blooms of pink,
spring to life in but a wink.
Yellow, red, purple, blue
paint the yard with rainbow ink.

Every spring brings life anew
to Technicolor garden stew.
Utopia for eye and brain,
truly magic, through and through.
