My choice to live in the past or present
Contentment

Growing old is both contentment and sadness
Wisdom teaching me smart choices for better years
Discovering the decency and gladness
Buried under all the angst instilling fears

I can't go back and change my sad journey's past
But I'm moving forward towards brighter days
Contentment has come to me with joy at last
No longer am I trapped in a plaintive maze
