Tired after a difficult shift, Sarah pressed the fourth-floor button. Puzzled, she watched as the elevator passed her floor, not stopping until the thirteenth floor.

There isn’t a thirteenth floor.

The elevator slid doors open. Her curiosity piqued, the woman stepped out into a long passage. The walls were lined with old portraits, their faces glowered at her, eyes stared. At the end of the passage a slightly open door moved slightly.

“Hello?” She spoke softly before stepping inside.

Malevolent voices whispered, “You’ve always belonged here Sarah.” The door slammed shut behind her, trapping her forever on the forgotten floor.
