In memory of Lea for her husband and my friend, Dean.
Lea

We both knew it would come.
Now I’m left here alone.
Guiding angels came by
And they carried you home.

Jesus brought you to me,
His sweet gift from above.
Now my tears flow with joy
That you’re with your first love.

Brought together in life
We both each had recieved
Painful bittersweet thorns
Teaching us to believe.

T’was a time, I confess,
I thought God was unfair.
When I saw how you suf-
fered the pain you did bear.

Oh, but you understood.
How he gave you such grace
To see through all the flames
And look full in His face.

You can run now and sing!
But for now I must wait
To walk holding your hand
through that Heavenly gate.
