A poem about the death of my granddaughter.
A single tear falls from my eye
A gentle cloud blowing across the sky
Looking toward Heaven I can not believe
That you are gone, gone away from me.

I held you close, close to my breast
I wanted to bring you back, I knew what was best
But I had to face facts, your spirit had left
I sank to my knees, and did nothing but wept.

Seven months, such a short time here on earth
A thousand diamonds could not touch your worth
Loved tho you were, it just wasn't enough
To keep you alive and safe here with us.

If only you had lived,
I wonder what you'd be
It wouldn't have mattered, anything you wanted
Would have been alright with me.

When you look down from above
Never forget you were loved.
Now playing and laughing in Gods big arena
I'll never forget you, my darling granddaughter Selena.
