feeling weak, tired, unmotivated, does no one ever seem to be listening?
I want to live no more
Boulders strapped to broken back,
Whiskey stained cripple pinned to icy floor
Knives in the back, blood marks the tracks
Slide on a frozen lake and slip into the deep

This is a game we play for keeps
Can't win legit, so I always have to cheat
Peek at your cards, pull an ace from my sleeve
Doesn't matter what's been seen my brain spills like a sieve

Why can't I, learn to fly?
Leave this dizzy world behind.
When I reach the mountain's peak,
I'll jump and shatter far beneath.

I fight with broken branches, stand on shallow roots
Walk on gravel roads with holes in my boots
Talk when no one listens, silent in spotlights
Dance to avoid the bullets at my feet

Why can't I, learn to fly?
Leave this dizzy world behind.
When I reach the mountain's peak,
I'll jump and shatter far beneath.
