this is a poem of a moment in reykjavik, iceland
I close my eyes.
One more time I close my eyes.
Sh!
Listen.
Listen to the seagulls cry when they fly with the wind wishing our symphonies to follow them.
I close my eyes,
and listen to the sound of your breathing
when night falls in against a colour-laden sky.
Sometimes you sigh;
your mouth mumbling a word in old norse.
Then you smile and dreams tumble like snowflakes across your face.
Sh!
listen.
Listen to time stand still,
and hear the music that loses itself in passion's embrace.
All through reykjavik love sleeps in tumbled blankets.
If you stop to close your eyes,
you will hear the sound of heartbeats as one;
life creating its own saga;
symphonies crossing the sky.
