A poem about nature and it's gradual demise.
The trees standing tall, and rivers run through,
and the animals frolic so noble and true,
life in her beauty is all that we make her,
but to take that too literally is just human nature,
the silence is ended by the growl of the dozers,
and the CEO's, investors, and all of their chauffers,
arrive at the forest ready to begin,
an attraction for masses will soon be put in,
a park will be structured, but not one with grass,
but one forged in plastic and metal and glass,
with structures that tower up into the sky,
to the wide open air where the birds would once fly,
how grand it will be, one more marvel of man,
decorated by shops and unused trash cans,
to push out old values and bring in the new,
a world built on money and corruption too,
to thrive on the dollars of the masses of spenders,
and to desecrate nature and its mystical splendors,
but it's fine, it's OK, the nature's installed,
well of course, with no nature the park would be bald,
so they put in rocks and trees all made of plastic,
and rivers, oh my, the change was so drastic,
now there are reminders of marvels once had,
but the people don't care, no remorse, they're not sad,
but the illusion is still not complete, people aren't satisfied,
they need something more natural and amusing inside,
so animals are taken, and locked up in a cage,
with thick steal bars to protect from their rage,
why would they be mad? they need not pay rent!
the fake trees and rocks should resolve discontent!
that's the wolrd we've created on our globe today,
where corruption rules and morals decay,
every year we fall farther into the abyss,
until all that remains of our efforts of this,
the structures stand tall and the people walk through,
the animals sit caged where trees once grew,
fake rocks and trees to please legislature,
there you have it, we've created all natural nature.
