To emphasise the necessity of further change, in regards to peace and war.
The Day To Realise (11th November - Remembrance Day)

A day to mourn,
The loss of a long-since bereft mother,
The pain of a family torn,
The longing for a long-lost brother,
A day to grieve, indeed.

A day to reflect,
The allied resistance,
The carnage did evil select,
The right to a lasting existence,
A day to recall, indeed.

A day to learn from,
The quarrels of a forgotten world,
The decimation of a familiar bomb,
The chaos of an explosion hurled,
A day for us consider, indeed.

A day to give us the opportunity,
The meaning of a soldiers’ sacrifice,
The dismissed memory of our true humanity,
The past to grant the future a truth,
A day to allow us to change,
Indeed!

‘The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing’ Edmund Burke
