At the beginning of a new chapter in life
I lost my soul inside a dying star
And now I wonder just where the bad bones are
I'll die an ugly death if I hit and miss
Even though I know you worked so hard for this

Every day I live like a porcupine
Dreaming of the time we were benign
It seems so sinful to waste precious time
While your memories are still mine

Now, you'll follow a path I cannot
Hanging my rope down from the roof
The Muses came out and
Watched me tie my noose

I said a silent prayer
They began crying
They knew I'd applied to hell
They knew I got in

It seems so sinful
Living like a porcupine
Watching you forget the time
When you were mine
