AA-1: Reflections
We just got through a tumultuous 2020. Reflect on lessons learned, and how you will use them in the year 2021. (<1000 words)

I learned a lot during 2020. For one thing, I learned that I'm quite happy leading an introverted lifestyle for the most part, but I do appreciate occasional outings. For example, I quite enjoy going to the store, even with a mask on. I learned that I enjoy not having to dress up, but that when our church opened again, it was good to go. I learned that it's difficult but not impossible to sing with a mask on, but that it makes my glasses fog beyond hope of sight.

I learned that I miss being able to go visit my siblings. I haven't seen the twins in over a year since they were two and a half months old. I would much prefer having niece and nephew time in person rather than watching them fight over their parents' phone on facetime.

I learned that zoom meetings are fine, but the software my doctor uses can't read my microphone, which makes everything complicated.

I learned that I get a lot of knitting done. I learned that I don't get as much writing done as I would want to. I learned that my sleep schedule goes bonkers without a reason to get up in the morning. I learned that I really need to get a job, which is more difficult right now.

I learned that I need to find more reasons to write.

At this point, we are more than a few footsteps into 2021, and I am striving to find balance in my life. I'm trying to sleep more, write more, keep in touch more, get out more, all while wearing a mask which if you pinch it carefully enough about the nose, doesn't fog up my glasses as much as it used to. Maybe that's the biggest thing I'll carry on—how to wear a mask, responsibly.
