Sean, Aine, and the Leprechaun
Sean, Aine, and the Leprechaun

Sean O'Riley was a son of Ireland,
born and raised in County Cork.

He spent his first twenty years
as a potato farmer
until he met Aine O’Sullivan,
the prettiest woman he had ever met.

Aine was a true believer--
though she had never seen a Leprechaun--
Sean did not believe in mythological creatures.

One evening as they sat
on Aine's front porch
holding hands and cuddling
a little man in green walk up
and kissed Aine on the cheek.

Sean grabbed the little man
to throw him off the porch,
but found himself laying on the ground.

"Lad," said the little man,
"don't you know better
than the hit a Leprechaun?"

Seas stared,
unable to speak
because he went into lepreshock:.

Aine,
a big smile on her face,
was suddenly struck by lepreawe.
