| Prompt: What does the phrase Rainy Days mean to you? How do you spend a rainy day? Rainy days. I like the rain if it is gentle and not severe storms. Farmers need the rain and I hate when things look dry and dead. You have to worry about someone throwing a cigarette out the window and burning a field. Rainy days are calming. I like to sleep when it is raining. You feel comforted and like life is good. Karen Carpenter sings Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down. Rainy days don't get me down unless I was planning on going to Lake Michigan or going shopping and it rains so bad you have to stay in the car and you lose time until the rain lets up. Mondays. Monday is the first day of the week for people who work and people hate going to work. My job was 24-7 they were opened. I worked in Nursing. I just hated the weekends and holidays I had to work. Snow days got me down. I hated driving in snow. Getting back to rain. I like being home if it is going to rain. It is my comfort zone.  |
