A King among Princes I pick the marvelous GERVIC At the moment, he’s actually a King; having just won the crown at "Wonderland" , so demoting him down to prince is a bit of a shame, but hey! This post is to extol his virtues, so I’ll gladly do so. Oh gosh, when was the first time I encountered Gervic (by the way, it’s pronounced ‘Hervic’, if memory serves me correctly) was when he signed up to join "The WDC Angel Army" . He was quite eager to learn the ropes around Writing.com, and I could tell from his enthusiasm – as he jumped into reviewing – that he would become an integral part of the community. I was proven right with his decision to spread his wings as far as he could. Not only did he excel in giving others assistance with their writing, but he began to create writing activities/contests including his magnum opus – "WDC Dragon Vale " . I must confess that all the gaming references get me so confused, and I literally get anxiety seeing XPs all over the place. Sorry, Gervic! I honestly am tempted to participate in the vale, but…ah! I am weird like that. Oh, have I mentioned how he’s also managed to beautify Writing.com with his graphic designing skills? There’s just an aura of brightness that follows him whenever he pops up on your feed or inbox; it’s hard to explain really. His participation in "Wonderland" was a blessing in disguise as it has allowed me to see the man behind the username. The Gervic I got to know, through his prolific and eloquent writing, is sensitive, not afraid to be vulnerable, and incredibly hardworking. Despite the pressures he might face – both online and in the real world- he always makes the time to commit to whatever he’s devoted his time and energy to, and for that, I had no choice but to go hunting him to be a part of House Targaryen (and not just because he has a love affair with dragons). So, we thank you, Gervic, for being an integral part of Writing.com. We hope you continue to spread your love of writing, and the arts, for many years to come. You are a brilliant beacon and inspiration to others. Word Count: 368 a tribute to Gervic: Giving of his time, ever selfless Enabling others to sprout wings of reptilian fantasies Revitalizing spirits stuck in quagmires of monotony Voracious in his quest for knowledge and growth Inviting works laden with eloquence to leave us in awe, so Carry on, dear prince among princes, we salute you evermore.
