Better Today, National Poinsettia Day and Peacemakers

I am feeling better today, thankfully. I was having chills but they seem to have gone, and my throat feels a lot better. It must have been a short term bug or something. We got a new ornament for our window. It's a candy cane that lights up read and green. It beautiful. We had a little sign for years that said Merry Christmas in flashing lights with stars around it. Last year we had to throw it out because the lights weren't working correctly and we were frightened it would start a fire. The new one is just as nice.

For Blogging Circle Of Friends

I didn't even know there was a National Poinsettia Day. I had a Poinsettia once. I am not sure what I did wrong, but the poor thing dried up. I did water it regularly. They are gorgeous plants. There should be a day dedicated just to them.

For my blog

A peacemaker is someone who won't stop until they solve conflicts, I think. It could be a conflict they are having with someone else or a conflict other people are having. My Aunt Janet was the peacemaker in our family. She would try to intercede if there was an argument in the house or among family members. Now that she is gone many members of our family still think of what Janet would do when a fight or argument occurs in our family.
