Living Up to Her Name
The waitress substituted the sugar in the man's coffee, strolled to his table, and then set the white porcelain coffee mug before him. Her knees were wobbly and her heart pounded, but she forced herself to remain calm in the midst of the coincidence.
The man eyed her, glancing down her body, then up again.
She grew nauseated with disgust at his unwanted gaze.
His eyes lingered on the nametag pinned to her pink uniform dress. He smirked as he read.
Halfway through his coffee, the man began quaking with seizures.
Karma walked calmly out of the diner as the man who'd gotten away with killing her mother sat dying.
