Detroit (xiv) 'bells'
[E] There is more than one carrillon in Metro-Detroit, but the largest with the most bells is in Bloomfield Hills.

One adjusts the clapper,
she explains,
one does not bang the bells;

one chimes.

The high notes twinkle magical,
no longer sound
but light

The kirk above the lake
sparkles.

Seventy-seven bells reside esconced within
its tower of stone.

Scotland has bloomed in Michigan
on the north side of Detroit
