PINK ELEPHANTS AND CUSTARD
PINK ELEPHANTS AND CUSTARD
Pink elephants eat custard,
Seasoned with salt and mustard,
And when they can’t eat some more,
They lie down and sleep and snore.
Their snoring is so much loud,
It reaches a passing cloud,
Causing a real cloud-burst,
Of a kind that is the worst.
Soon the whole ground is but mud.
Then there is almost a flood.
Elephants swim and rejoice,
Singing in trumpeting voice:
We want to eat custard more,
Till we sleep and again snore.
