My Preferred Size
"Now, Medardo," my prof. called up, "which size do you prefer?"

Ah, sizes! But which size do I really prefer? My prof intrigued me at that. "I think we can talk of sizes when," I paused, looked at the girls at my left, "when there are no women around."

My prof inhaled deeply, and then exhaled, but he smiled when I said, "But let me answer your question, sir." All in the class waited for what I was going to say.

"I prefer the Filipino size, sir," I said as I watched the girls' reactions. They were relieved of what I said. My prof was disgusted. "And what is the Filipino size, may I ask?"

"Oh," I tried to explain, with only a word coming out of my mouth. But I smiled, as I withdrew my stare, and looked straight at my prof. "If there are apples..."

The girls were intimidating this time, wanting me to not say any word. But I was unperturbed. "The Filipino mango and the durian or papaya, I would prefer the mango, instead of papaya." My prof again was disgusted.

"That's the Filipino size?" he asked. I agreed.

"It's still big," he declared.

I shut my mouth. To me it's still a mango. End of argument.
