My primary Writing.com blog. |
Hey Everyone, Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I made myself a promise to devote more time to my writing career this year (which I've so far been able to keep), and my responsibilities at work have kicked into overdrive thanks to a massive merger we're working on and the recent loss of two of our department personnel... over the past several weeks I've found myself with precious little time to sleep, let alone spend much time online. One of the things that's been gnawing at me is knowing that I have an awful lot of activities on this site that are falling behind because I haven't been able to focus on them. Although it pains me to do this, I think the most responsible thing to do is scale back on my obligations here until I have a chance to really commit to them the way they deserve to be handled. With that said, here's what will be happening with the groups and activities I run: "The Dark Society" - on hiatus until further notice "Sinister Stories Contest" - on hiatus until further notice "Unofficial Erotica Newsletter Group" - on hiatus until further notice "The Screenwriting Group" - on hiatus until further notice "Paradise Cove Writing Challenge-On Hold" - Brooke handling in the interim "Blog Harbor from The Talent Pond" - Brooke handling in the interim "The Cube" - next round to be determined "Breakthrough!" - I'll finish the current round, next round to be determined I want to emphasize that I am not closing these activities for good, and I am definitely not leaving WdC. I will still be here, checking in almost every day like the addict that I am. I just need a little break from a lot of the administrative/organizational responsibilities that are piling up while I get through this busy season at work and with my writing. To those of you I owe things to for various fundraiser packages and whatnot, I have not forgotten and I will get you everything I've promised as soon as possible. If anyone has any questions, please let me know. I'll be around. A lot. Because I just can't help it. And I look forward to resuming my group activities shortly, as I'm hoping this break will only last for the next few months.
