Amsterdam

I don't mean to seem like a prude because I'm sure I'm not. I know that I'm not easily shocked, but I've seen one red light district so I'm fairly sure that when you've seen one you've pretty much seen them all. I'm more interested in the buffet breakfast and Van Gogh Museum. I like Van Gogh, he isn't my all time favorite artist of the past, but he's right below Michelangelo. Therefore, I will by pass the red light district and check out the museum. Maybe I can find a painting that will raise Van Gogh on my list of favorite artist.

Van Gogh Museum

Self portraiture of the artist,
nice looking,
but not handsome;
is this how he felt about himself
or is it an accurate rendition.

Starry Night
is still my favorite,
but I always imagined
a universe of stars twirling
to their own internal music.
Evening in Amsterdam

A canal tour is fun. I like riding in boats and looking at the scenery. I'm not sure I'm up to clubbing in Amsterdam or anywhere else in the world, but one night won't hurt. I just don't want anyone criticizing my dancing. I know I'm not a Ginger Rodgers or even a Chubby Checkers when it comes to dance moves. I strongly suspect that most of my dance moves make me look like an octopus in extreme pain. As long as no one mistakes my moves for death throes and calls the Amsterdam equivalent of 911 then I'll be fine.
