Just what it says

The Blogging Circle of Friends prompt for March 6 is "March winds."

That prompt sort of leaves the field wide open. Let's see. The March winds are the result of pressure gradients as the warm air tries to move the cold winter air out. When weather fronts (warm and cold) compete for the same space, one usually has a high pressure and the other a low pressure. They begin to push each other and overlap each other resulting in ridges. These ridges vary in pressure and as a result can be quite turbulent.

March wind are a time for flying kites. Just don't try to fly them here in West Virginia. We have very few long fields and what fields we do have usually have trees in them. If you get a kite off the ground you'll likely feed it to a tree.

The winds of March I love to hear
They tell me that spring is near
I know the weather soon will clear
There is no more cold air to cause sickness fear.
