Make a list of 10 things that are on your desk or writing space and why you might need them. Ten Items on My Desk The things on my cluttered desk, which was cleaned off once this year. I have to clean it off again because it attracts clutter once I clean it off. I am not going to list the normal things that are common to desks in this day and age (sorry or not about the cliché). Fortunately, I only have to list ten of the things on my desk, because there isn't enough room to list everything. 1. Mail in/absentee ballet for the November Mid-Term election. As a senior citizen, in Nevada, it's my right to receive a mail in ballot. I put the ballot on my desk so that I can fill it out and mail it in this week. 2. Booklet explaining the six state questions on the ballot, with a short explanation of both the for and against arguments. 3. A round pillbox with two cherub on it reading a book. This belonged to my mother, she used it to take her medication with her when she went to work or out to eat. 4. Poems, waiting to be transcribed into "Devotional Poetry" or "Poem Experiments" . 5. The Remembrance of God, a prayer book, so I can pause to say a prayer whenever I feel myself getting distracted or someone request prayers. 6. Writing.com coffee mug, with numerous items--such as pencils and this months rent receipt--in it. 7. Leather medicine bag, a gift from a Native American friend, containing two strings of prayer beads (one string belonged to my mother) 8. A red lace-type pouch containing rose petals from Mount Carmel in Israel, it was a gift from a friend who went on pilgrimage. 9. Baha'u'llah: The One Promised in All Scriptures, one of the books I'm in the process of reading. I keep it on my desk for inspiration. 10. A Texas Instruments TI-30SLR+ solar calculator. I keep it on my desk so I can use it for calculations when my cellphone is on the charger. |
