π Pantheon
Pantheon 3d Place March 10 round
Grey and crumbling,
lichen covered memories
hide in the shadowsβ¦
not forgotten
but obscured
by the tangles of time.
I run my hands over
their uneven and worn surfaces
and discover
their hidden strength
their hidden warmth.
Stacked haphazardly,
I struggle to understand them.
I retreat.
I stop
as recognition dawns.
What seemed chaotic
now takes on a familiar shape.
I see they form an altar
of yesterdays
in the pantheon
a public building containing tombs or memorials
of my mind.
No longer are they
meaningless debris...
They are the foundations of my life.
